Are all 38 Tamil Nadu districts covered?

Yes. The Tamil Nadu e-Services portal serves every one of the 38 districts, across 317 taluks and 18,744 revenue villages, and we fetch from all of them.

Coverage is not even, because the districts are not: Tiruvannamalai has 1,088 revenue villages and Nilgiris has 123, against an average of about 493.

How do I find my village in the list?

Open your district, then the taluk it belongs to. Every village the portal serves in that taluk is listed on the taluk page, spelled the way the portal spells it.

That spelling is the one that matters. A patta search matches the revenue record, which is often not the spelling on your sale deed or on the signboard — the search box at the top of this site is tolerant about that, but the government portal is not.

My property is in a town or city. Is it here?

Possibly not. Tamil Nadu keeps built-up land in a separate town-survey register, addressed by ward, block and T.S. number rather than by village — so an urban parcel has no revenue village to look up and a patta search returns nothing.

The giveaway is a taluk with very few revenue villages listed. For those, ask for a TSLR extract or TSLR sketch instead of a patta chitta.

What does a district page tell me?

How much of that district the portal actually serves — its taluks, how many revenue villages each one holds, and where the district sits among all 38 — plus a link into every record we can fetch there.

It is the fastest way to check that the location on your document matches the location the government record uses, which is the single most common reason a search comes back empty.
